  • How to Hire the correct DJ?

Hiring a Dj can be kind of difficult. Dj’s are unlike any other vendor you may hire for a party. The best way to determine who is the right fit for your event is by taking the time to talking to them, and determine which one is the best fit. Some can be over the top and promise the world and others will be willing to suggest different ways to handle your specific request. One of the keys to any interview is to know exactly what you are looking for. so I would recommend making a list.

  • Why do Dj’s cost so much? “anyone can play music”

This is a common misconception that a dj just plays music. In today’s events the requirements of the Dj/Entertainer are much greater than they once where. A good DJ/Entertainer will not just play music, but will also help to coordinate the event, handle all announcements, come up with new creative ways to keep everyone involved, and so much more! No tot mention all the different aspect and enhancements that a true professional can bring to your event.

• What makes you qualified to be an Entertainer?

Unfortunately the art of Entertaining isn’t really taught in a class room for the most part. But I do attend training seminars throughout the year to stay up to date with all of the new trends, as well as networking not only with local entertainment companies but also others all over the US that helps me stay ahead of the game. So to answer this question I would have to say the experience and the continued drive to improve not only my business but the entire industry is what sets me ahead of the competition as a professional.

• What is difference between a DJ and an Entertainer?

A Dj is normally defined as someone who just mixes music. In our determination of an Entertainer it is someone who can help your event flow smoothly, handle all MC responsibilities, entertain you guest, and of course handle all music programming and mixes.

• Where should my entertainment fit into my budget?

A lot of planning resources say that Entertainment should be 8% to 15% of your total budget. But this really depends on how much importance you put on your entertainment. In other words if you are looking at your event and really want it to be remembered for the party, then you may want to look at your budget and figure out how to spend a little more in this area.

• Do you provided a written contract?

Absolutely, in fact we wouldn’t do business without a written contract! Our contract is pretty strait forward and it’s the final step when booking with Celebration Entertainment.

• Will you be the DJ at our wedding?

Yes. Although I may have an assistant with me I will be the one running your event.

• May we meet with you in person before we sign a contract?

Absolutely, It’s something we do before we book most any wedding. The meeting is an important part of the process and it insures you’re comfortable with our services.

• How long have you been a DJ?

I have been in the Entertainment business for over 18 years, with 100% of my bookings being private events, 95% of those shows being weddings.

• Will we meet again before the wedding?

We can meet if need be, but we also stay in contact throughout the planning process up to your wedding day. Celebration Entertainment is always available via email or phone for any questions you may have.

• Can we visit you at a performance?

It’s kind of an unwritten rule not to allow a potential client to visit another couples wedding reception. A professional company can easily provide you with quality references.

• What kind of equipment do you use?

We use top of line quality equipment when doing any event. From our Speakers, laptop’s, Subs., and our Professional lighting everything is designed for the exact application that we use it for.
